Let’s Get This Party Started! #GNO

The party scene is a huge part of the college lifestyle, and with that comes the best part of college: THE FASHION.

While many people choose to wear black out on the party scene, I think that the world needs a bit more color in the late night hours of the weekends. Ladies, we can explore these colors in some of my personal favorite trends from this year (don’t worry #pics are all included below!).

One style that can go easily from classes to the club is an overall dress. Overalls in general give off a very casual vibe, but I believe something in shade of dark denim with a skirt instead of shorts maybe it a great feminine, girls-night-out look.

Another statement for a night out I love is anything with a deep v neck or a sheer top, making it a sassy look, but also making sure not to show too much to where you’d fall out of your shirt while showing off your best dance moves. These deep v’s and sheer layers whether loose or tight, can always benefit from being layered with lacey bralettes underneath to give them an extra touch of detail. A certain accessory statement I have been in love with recently has been BODY CHAINS. They look good underneath flowing blouses and over a tighter top, adding to the overall look itself.

Next we come to another #fave of the year: mini skirts! While they may be tiny, they sure pack a punch when it comes to completing the picture outfit. These skirts look even better when touched up with details of colors, zippers, buttons, and pockets (just to name a few!). If the night out happens to be during a colder month (or if you live in Boston like me and EVERY night is a cold one), these skirts are perfect to be layered with tights underneath while still not making you suffocate when the room gets crowded at the peak of the night.

Lastly, we come to the classic off the shoulder top which is the overwhelming winner of most worn party top. These blouses can have so many different patterns, colors, and fabrics that makes it a truly versatile piece to pair with the classic black skinny jean or go for a skirt instead. If the shirt itself is detailed, extra accessories aren’t necessarily needed, but a good piece to consider would be a pendant necklace. They are statement pieces and can often bring a bit of shine and sparkle to an outfit without weighing you down.

… And with that concludes all of my favorite party looks of the moment! I like to think all of these can be mixed and matched together when needing inspiration for a weekend night out, so enjoy the experiment of fashion for weekends to come!
